The newest collaboration between Nike and Virgil Abloh called "The Queen Collection" is created exclusively for Serena Williams.
Our eyes are on her. And her tutu dress.
The amazing look comes from newest collaboration between Nike and Virgil Abloh, called “The Queen Collection”, created exclusively for Serena Williams. The iconic tennis brand crossed path once again with famous fashion designer of Louis Vuitton and Off-White. Inspired by ever the power and strength of 23 times Grand Slam champion, and her love for dance, Abloh created one-shoulder dress with a tulle skirt, in two styles – black for night sessions, and pastel purple for day matches. Dresses are signed with a Nike logo, accompanied by designer’s recognizable signature quotation marks “LOGO” below.
The champion loved it, saying:
“I felt so feminine in the tutu, which is probably my favorite part of it. It really embodies what I always say: that you can be strong and beautiful at the same time.”
Ballerina dresses are accessorized with a bomber leather jacket and a matching tennis bag. And… wait for it… an epic pair of glittery silver NikeCourt Flare 2 sneakers with neon yellow details.
Limited edition of apparel as well as three models of shoes – the NikeCourt Flare 2, and limited editions of The 10 Nike Air Max 97 and The 10 Nike Blazer Mid SW, are expected to come to selected NYC stores right after the tournament.
We have yet to see if 2018 US Open will be a number seven for Serena Williams. If it does, it sure will be a shiny, sparkly one.
